PrezKovind in Iceland to hold talks with top leadership

President Ram Nath Kovind will hold a bilateral meeting with his counterpart in Iceland today for the second day of his three-nation tour to Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia. Both India and Iceland have shown keen interest in furthering trade and cultural relations and number agreements will be signed between the two countries after delegation-level talks.
 
Later in the day today the President will deliver a lecture on environmental issues at the University of Iceland. The AIR correspondent informed that India is keen to increase cooperation in the field of biotechnology and IT and Iceland is keen on Indian participation in science and technology, geothermal energy, education and tourism.
 

Scenic locations in Iceland are being offered to Bollywood. CEOs of Indian companies that are part of the business delegation are exploring investment opportunities in Iceland in renewable energy, travel and hospitality and hydroelectric projects.
